A Frugal Way to Dress Up Your Walls

Since my husband and I moved into our home I have been itching to fully furnish and decorate it! Since we are on a budget I have had to slowly find pieces to add to our home decor. My hallway was one of the most boring spots in my home! I needed wall art!

I posted on the Stylish Saving Facebook page a few weeks ago that I was looking for an inexpensive way to decorate my empty walls. I had some really awesome responses!

My favorite idea was to to frame scrapbook paper! I waited until Michaels had a sale on their frames and had a coupon for an additional 25% off and headed to the store!

These three frames were originally $9.99 each I liked them because they had double mats which would cut down on the cost!

They were on sale 40% off making them $5.99 each
Then with the 25% coupon it made them $3.60 each!!
The scrapbook paper was on sale for $0.25 each (I bought 2, the openings were 4x4)

Final cost: $11.30 TOTAL

It looks absolutely fabulous on the wall! I can not be more pleased with the results!

Nice job! I might just do something similar myself. After I finish unpacking. My goal for the next couple of weeks is 1 box/bin a day. So far, so good.

Thanks for your visit to the Northwoods!
